Phrasal verbs – look

look into meanings and examples.
1. try to find. Example: We are looking into ways of increasing our effectiveness. 
2. investigate. Example: The detective looked into the murder.
look forward to means await with excitement. Example: I am looking forward to going hiking once the lockdown is over.
look out for meanings and examples. 1. stay vigilant. Example: You must look out for snakes when walking in these hills. 
2. take care of. Example: Jimmy's brothers have looked out for him since their parents died.
look for means search for or see. Example: Detectives are still looking for the escaped prisoner.
look up meanings and examples.
1. find meaning. Example: Look this word up in the dictionary. 
2. improve. Example: Things are starting to look up. 
3. admire. Example: Ideally, children should look up to their parents.
